A mom has just got to brag sometimes!!

Staci's graduating May 8, 2009 from the Northern Arizona University. The main campus is in Flagstaff, but she's been enrolled in their Criminal Justice two year program in Mesa. Her graduation is in Flagstaff and Faren and I, April, Drew, Autumn, Weston; Christy, Mark and Parker and of course Andrew will all be there. She's completed her bachelors degree in 4 years with a 4.0. She is smart, but knows how to study and work hard too. Her dad and I are so proud of her, she will graduate Summa Cum Laude with highest honors. I am so grateful to see this day. Every milestone with Staci does not go unappreciated. We are greatful for everything she is able to accomplish, we know things could be alot different. I am so proud of all my children and grateful for the college degrees they have earned and the choices they have made in life. I miss them being little and playing around the house, but love seeing them as adults and contributing the way they do to family, church and community. Being a mom is great. Not always easy, believe me it's been alot of work as all you mommies know, but great blessing come everyday, some little and some amazingly wonderful. Sorry for bragging, but sometimes my cup runneth over. I'm very thankful for my life and my family.

One Year Ago

One year ago this month Faren, Adam, Rocky and I took our last RV trip the Grand Canyon befor moving to Texas.
It was really cool because it hardly ever snows on the south rim of the Grand Canyon.

So I thought I would share these pictures with anyone who has been there or would like to see how pretty it is with the snow.

The views are so breathtaking! It was so nice to live so close and be there in a few hours

This was the first time Adam went with us while living in Arizona, it was so much fun.

Rocky

This is Rocky today. He loves me. Sorry I did't know how to rotate the picture. Actually one of his faults is licking you in the face. He hasn't out grown that not matter how many times we say say no. He just loves everyone so much he has to kiss them!!

Happy Birthday Rocky

Rocky is 5 years old this month. This what he looked like at 8 weeks when we got him. He is a Yorkie-Pooh. He's been such a good dog. He loves everyone, since being in Texas I know he misses all the company of the kids coming and going in the house.

Remembering the Reunion

Double Trouble Update

I was just looking over my blog and realized a lot of progress has been made since my injuries. I am now bootless on my right foot. I've been able to wear a regular shoe for a couple of weeks now. I am back to driving and teaching my Primary class, which I love. I will probably have the boot on my broken ankle for awhile longer, my grandkids keep asking me when is it going to get better. I still use crutches, but around the house I cheat and hobble around with out them. In about three weeks I may be able to get a smaller and lighter boot, it's going to take awhile to heal because when the bone broke it split apart, so it's going to take awhile to fill in with enough calcium to heal properly. It's actually the bone just above the ankle that broke. I think it's called the fibia. Anyway, it doesn't hurt to much anymore except when I am on it alot then the swelling and throbing are pretty uncomfortable. But it is so much better, I'm very greatful.

Weston's Blessing

Sunday was a beautiful day. Drew gave Weston a beautiful blessing and we enjoyed being at church with our kids and grandkids so much. The whole weekend went by too fast. I have great pictures and will post some later today when Faren helps we get them into the computer, just couldn't wait to share my excitement about the blessing and being with my family.
